The commemorative coin is dedicated to the oldest Muslim educational and religious monuments connected with the history and culture of the Crimean Tatar people, i.e. the Ozbek Han mosque and madrasa built on the territory of the town of Staryi Krym (Eski Q?r?m) in the early XIVth century.

The obverse of the coin bears: above - the Small Coat of Arms of Ukraine with the semicircular inscription НАЦІОНАЛЬНИЙ БАНК УКРАЇНИ (National Bank of Ukraine) and the coin issue year 2014 indication (thereunder, to the left); in the centre, against the background of a conventionalized ornamental pattern, the face value: 10 ГРИВЕНЬ (10 hryvnias).
On the reverse of the coin there is depicted the Ozbek Han Mosque against the background of a conventionalized ornamental pattern with the inscription 700/РОКІВ (700/years) to the left of the image and the semicircular inscriptions (in Crimean Tatar and Ukrainian respectively) ESKI QIRIM. ?ZBEK HAN CAMISI VE MEDRESE (Staryi Krym, Ozbek Han`s mosque and madrasa) and МЕЧЕТЬ ХАНА УЗБЕКА І МЕДРЕСЕ (Mosque of the Han Ozbek and madrasa).
